MDR provides media justice advocacy training in 4 programs. The introduction to media justice advocacy is led by MDR Clubs at partner universities. Participants are able to participate in policy advocacy and promotional advocacy.
Teens will go on to develop online petitions and letter-writing campaigns addressed to local and national media outlets, advertisers, and artists with the intention of re-shaping mainstream media to reflect their valuable contributions to society.
MDR also involves the community in developing media justice committees to screen films, tv pilots, music, magazines, and books to determine if they receive the Media Done Responsibly Seal to reflect humanity-driven media.
Media Justice Advocacy is a Pillar of our following programs:
1. Peer Mentor Program,
2. Teen Outreach Program,
3. Media Literacy Curriculum and Training, and
4. Media Done Responsibly Campaign
